Went out for 8 miles
It was supposed to be a recovery run and to go nice and easy/slow… Something like a 7:35/7:40 pace, but, went a little faster then what the workout was supposed to be… Did an avg. 7:17 pace. Oh well… Happy runnings, everyone!

Great track workout today!
Did a magic mile workout. Run hard on straight aways that’s faster than 5k pace, and then go an easy jog on the turns to average out to your 5k pace.  1.25 mi warm up workout: 1st mile- 5:49 then .25 cool down  2nd mile- 5:37 another .25 cool down  3rd mile- 5:26  then a 1 mile cool down  total workout: 4.75 hard running

Just got back from the Carnaval Miami 5k.
It was pretty fun! It was Chris’ and Juan’s first race ever.  I set out do a sub 18 race. And I was on set for it, too! First mile was done at 5:37 and comfortably too. But after that, the weather was just plain out awful. I horribly strong head wind for the last half and I finished with a time of 18:10. It’s all good though. I finished 6th overall with over 1,000 runners so...

8 Miles with a 7:08 pace
I felt like I was running on dead legs, but, I was actually surprised when I saw that I did this kind of pace. I was originally planning on going for 10, but I remembered that I have a race this Sunday so I didn’t want to over do it. I think my distance shoes are worn out with no pop left in them, and they’re kinda getting heavy for the kind of paces I’m trying to get to. But, a...

Nothing beats waking up early to go for a run!
Went on a 5 mile recovery run nice and slow at an overall average of a 7:30 pace. I’m happy with that because 7:30 used to be my fast pace. Progress!

So, after finishing the Cherry Tree 10 miler...
I realized that I was able to finish with a 6:47 pace average on a course that was rolling hills through out, no flat land. I felt great finishing, like I could have gone faster, or hold that pace for even longer. I’m going to continue training for my full marathon, and somewhere add in for training a half marathon and I’m going to try to go out with a pace like this and try to finish...
